FORMER SENIOR CIA EXECUTIVE JOINS ARCANUM

Larry Henderson, a 26-year veteran of the CIA, assumes a leadership role as Arcanum’s Vice President and Head of Analytic Intelligence

Washington, DC, April 25, 2024 – Arcanum Global, a leading strategic intelligence company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Magellan Investment Holdings, is pleased to announce the appointment of Larry Henderson as its Vice President and Head of Analytic Intelligence. In this pivotal role, Henderson will leverage more than 25 years of distinguished service in the US Intelligence Community to enhance Arcanum’s strategic capabilities and drive operational excellence.
Larry Henderson’s extensive experience includes senior roles within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he served from 1996 to 2022. He most recently served as Chief of Analysis for the Europe and Eurasia Mission Center (2021-2022) where he led the Agency’s analytic mission on Russia and Ukraine among other geopolitical priorities in the region. Other critical assignments included Chief of Analysis for the CIA’s Western Hemisphere Mission Center; Deputy Chief of Analysis for the CIA’s South and Central Asia Mission Center; the Analytic and Operations Department Chief for Afghanistan; and a Deputy Department Chief in CIA’s Counterterrorism Mission Center. During his tenure, he served abroad on behalf of the CIA and the US State Department in a series of leadership roles in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Before joining Arcanum, Larry Henderson served as Program Director at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS), where he led a dynamic unit focused on mining big data and leveraging technology to produce data-driven reports for US and global partners. His achievements include overseeing the growth of a multi-million-dollar program focused on supply chain analysis and countering sanctions evasion; conducting analytic training for the Ukrainian Government; and leading a flurry of analytic investigations that led to a high volume of international sanctions designations for bad actors fueling conflict worldwide.
Larry’s proven success as an analytic leader both inside and outside of government will play a key role in Arcanum’s next phase of company growth as he oversees the strategic design and execution of intelligence analysis for private sector clients. In this new role, Larry will direct multi-source intelligence analysis by fusing the fast-growing open source environment with Arcanum’s on-the-ground access and influence in ways that will provide our valued clients with a comparative market advantage.
